Soprano, Alyssa Woolhether, is a passionate and versatile musician known for her highly emotive lyric voice. She holds a Master Degree in Music Performance and Literature from Western University (2019) a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from the University of Regina (2010) and Level I, II, and III certification in Somatic VoiceworkTM The LoVetri Method (2021). Along with extensive experience as a recitalist, Alyssa has performed with various opera companies including Vera Causa Opera, MYOpera, Opera by Request, and Toronto City Opera. She has attended prestigious training programs in Canada and Europe including Opera NUOVA, Long Reach Opera Workshop, Canadian Operatic Arts Academy, Accademia Europea Dell’Opera and SongStudio. Not only a classical vocalist, Alyssa is also a successful cross genre performer and accomplished songwriter performing under the pseudonym Lyssa with her band The Try-Tones in and around the Regina area. Currently, Alyssa continues to song-write, record and perform while building her teaching studio at the Conservatory. She enjoys snuggles from her cat and exploring new and fun ways to inspire her students.

Who should sing with Alyssa?

Age of Student: Ages 7 and up

Skill levels: All skill levels

Genres: Musical theatre, classical, contemporary (pop, folk, soul, jazz)

Expectations: Students are encouraged to perform as much as possible and practice on a regular basis

Supplies Required: 3-ring binder for music, a note book, a pencil, will be asked to purchase music throughout the year

Average Lesson Length: 30, 45, 60 minutes * 30 min. lessons are for ages 7-10 only.

30-Minute Lesson Rate: $31 * Private Lessons range from $28.50-35.50 and are based on previous education and experience.
