Piano Lessons with Katie Mutschler
Katherine Mutschler completed her bachelor of music in piano from the University of Regina in 2022. She then went on to successfully defend and finish her thesis in fall 2024, and she now has her MA in music theory from the University of Ottawa. Her thesis and research explored the intersection of motherhood and nature in orchestral music. Katherine has experience in teaching piano and theory to all ages. Since 2015, Katherine has been heavily involved in programs at the conservatory as a staff member, including the conservatory summer camps, a musicianship teacher with the Child/Parent string program, and Jr. Glee instructor.

Genres: Classical and popular music (including film and video scores)
Expectations: Festivals, master classes, and recitals are highly encouraged for all students and required for those who are taking RCM exams. Students are expected to practice consistently to feel adequately prepared for lesson time.
Supplies Required: Method books and additional materials will be decided on by a case to case basis. All students require a duo-tang or binder and a method of taking notes.
Average Lesson Length: 30, 45, 60 minutes
30-Minute Lesson Rate: $32 * Private Lessons range from $28.50-35.50 and are based on previous education and experience.
