Piano Lessons with Racquel South-Reid
Racquel South-Reid is a passionate Music Educator, with over 10 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the Edna Manley College of Performing Arts, Jamaica. While there, she majored in the trumpet and minored in the Piano and Drum Set. Racquel has taught music both at the elementary and secondary level with a focus on general classroom music and band. She is currently a substitute teacher with the Regina Catholic School Board and a part time piano and vocal teacher at School of Rock, Regina. Racquel has performed both as a solo trumpeter/piano player and as a member of several different concert and pop bands. She is the current piano player for the youth choir and youth leader at the Resurrection Parish, Regina. As a music teacher,
Racquel believes that students, should be given the opportunity to explore all aspects of music, and to discover and develop their natural talents through formal music instruction.
Racquel looks forward to continuing teaching, sharing her passion for music, and learning, as she begins this new journey with the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts.
