PKCH2 - Prairie Kids Chorus - Junior Choir (Ages 5-7)
The Conservatory Prairie Kids Chorus is a nurturing choir creating a supportive singing environment where youth will learn to match pitch and discover the joy of singing together.
Our choir is offered in two sections:
- Junior Choir (ages 5-7)
- Intermediate Choir (ages 8-13)
In Junior Choir, we learn to sing in unison and by rote with these young singers who are just grasping reading basics in Grades 1-3 in school. Junior Choir rehearsals are short 30-minute classes where choristers sing together.
In this choir, we primarily sing traditional choir repertoire, including folk, classical, jazz, and gospel music. This choir is a great option before Music – Private Lessons in voice, as many voice studios do not start until age 10.
Registration in the Prairie Kids Chorus - Junior Choir also includes performance opportunities at events like the Conservatory Group Program Showcase in Darke Hall and other performance opportunities as they arise.
NEW Term-by-Term Registration - to register in a full year of this program, add to cart one section starting in September and one section starting in January.
If you are ages 16 or older, you can join our Conservatory Adult Choir.
