ENGG813 - Advanced Fluid Mechanics
This course is an introduction to Advanced Fluid Mechanics. It deals with the concept of continuum (partial and total derivatives, Eulanan and Lagrangian viewpoints, Reynolds transport theorem, constitutive equations), Microscopic equation of motion (continuity and momentum equations), NSE (undsteady laminar, flow in reclilinear ducts), Creeping flow, invicid flow, Boundary layer theory, Non-Newtonian flows and an introduction to fluid particle dynamics and porous media.
This professional development course is being offered as a non-credit option, running in parallel with the graduate credit course at the University of Regina. Participants who register for and attend the non-credit section will receive a letter of completion, acknowledging the professional development hours attended. However, please note this non-credit option does not count towards graduate credit or contribute to a degree program.
