Meet the instructor Dale Johnson

Dale Edward Johnson is an instructor and corporate trainer specializing in crisis and management communications as well as PR and media relations. He is an award-winning author, broadcaster and journalist who has worked in TV, radio, print and online, and has written more than 1,300 articles and columns.

As a full-time speechwriter with Credit Union Central, he researched and wrote approximately a speech a week for seven years supporting the CEO, executive team and elected directors. Dale has guided and mentored politicians, university professors, senior executives and communications professionals as well as delivered communications workshops to large groups.

Dale won the U of R President’s Award for Service Excellence in team innovation when he was a member of the university Communications and Marketing Team. When he is not busy mentoring or teaching, he loves to restore classic cars, lead public walking tours of historical buildings and run half marathons.
