FLAMD - Flamenco - Introduction to Flamenco Dance
Ages: 16+
Let us introduce you to the energetic music and dance form from southern Spain! In our Introduction to Flamenco Dance course you'll learn basic flamenco dance technique including footwork, arm and hand movements and rhythmic clapping. No previous experience required to join this group! Special Flamenco footwear requirements will be recommended on the first class. Besides footwear, there is no specific dress code for weekly group classes - just wear something comfortable to move in!
Have previous Flamenco dance experience? Email our Student & Instructor Services Non-Credit office to schedule a placement audition with our instructors to check if our Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced group is the right fit based on your experience.
